Yachimun no Sato (Potter’s Village) is located in Kina, Yomitan Village. The Kinaware was originated in this place and it’s one of the oldest kiln sites in Okinawa. There are approximately 40 kilns and well known potters create their masterpieces all year round.

Pottery in Okinawa has become famous as a traditional art, which was originally brought to the islands through trade with China, during the time of the Ryukyu Kingdom.
