Okinawa AtoZ

The Okinawa Yārū is a wall lizard (gecko) seen in almost every house in Okinawa. The difference from the mainland gecko is that the Okinawan gecko has transparent skin and makes a perticular sound. These creatures do no harm to humans, and, on the contrary, they are known to protect the household by eating the small insects and cockroaches. If you see one, a good advice would be not to frighten it, for it’s tail might come off.
