Cape Hedo is located on the northernmost part of the Okinawa Main Island. The Pacific Ocean meets the South China Sea at Cape Hedo. From the Cape’s observation point, visitors can look across the waters on a clear day, and see Yoron Island to the north. Cape Hedo is the place where local people used to set bonfires to convey their wish for reversion of the Island to Japan.
