Amuro Island is located about 1.3 kilometers southeast of Zamami Island. It is about 5.2 kilometers around, 0.62 square kilometers in area and rises 99 meters above the sea level. It is surrounded by atolls, and Himehabu snakes live on it. It has a sandy beach on the east side and villages of Adan or Kusatobera along the coast. After the Pacific War people from Kerama cultivated sweet potatoes and grazed cattle on it.
