Awase Bijuru a.k.a. Awase Shrine is located in the Awase district of Okinawa City. Bijuru means a ‘natural stone object’ and people believe there’s a deity enshrined in this rock. There are many bijuru stones on Okinawa, and some kind of a deity is enshrined in each of them.

The deity enshrined in Awase Shrine bijuru is believed to help women to have a healthy baby and easy delivery. Many women visit the shrine every day to offer prayers to the deity in order to have a baby or easy delivery if they are pregnant.
