A1 Sauce
A1 Sauce is an imported sauce used to enhance steak dishes, and many here are familiar with it.
It’s easy to find at any supermarket or on the tables of steak restaurants, but it’s hardly at all found in mainland Japan, and is considered an Okinawan icon by tourists.
Americans started to import it to Okinawa after the war, and it has become a standard condiment on Okinawan tables.
