Kudaka Island is located around 5.3km away in the east of cape Chinen. The circumstance of the island is 7.8km. The island is full of beautiful beach quiet nature and myth and folk tale. The island is thought to be the place that Amamikiyo, the creator of the Ryukyu Islands was descended from the sky and introduced corn into the Ryukyu Islands for the first time. The island is worshipped as the island of god. Many customs related to folks tales are handed down and though to be the precious island from point of folklore. Without permission, people are not allowed to get in to the sacred places scattered in the whole island.
